About the Museum: Opus 40 is a large environmental sculpture in Saugerties, New York, created by sculptor and quarryman Harvey Fite. It comprises a sprawling series of dry-stone ramps, pedestals and platforms covering 6.5 acres of a bluestone quarry.
Hours: Weather permitting, open 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM Saturdays and Sundays in late March and April. Fridays and Mondays are added in May. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, open Thursdays through Mondays. As the weather gets cooler, hours are reduced to a shorter week, eventually being open only on weekends, weather permitting, until the Winter Solstice.

Pass Details: Five tickets for immediate family only. (This means two caregivers of any age or gender and the children they care for in a family unit only. No cousins or friends, etc.) If your group size is larger, purchase additional tickets from the website. Patrons do not need to sign up ahead. Upon arrival, show the Library’s Opus 40 Pass (printed or digital on phone) and your library card. Picnics are welcome. View the map online at the website. Printed maps are available.
